Bill Martz paints G. Washington Birthplace
Popes Creek Plantation
locally known as "Wakefield"

Because of his "ability to interpret nature", Bill was asked by the George Washington Birthplace Association to help draw attention to the Birthplace by creating paintings of this beautiful National Monument Park in Westmoreland County, Virginia.

The Association in cooperation with the National Park Service sponsored an invitational VIP evening, April 4th and a two day public exhibit on April 5 & 6, 2008.

Pictured here are a few of the paintings SOLD at the invitational event. (Please scroll down.) Please remember that at best, the pictures on the website can only suggest the depth, intensity, brilliance and freshness of the original painting.
